The New Enlightenment between Traditions and Challenges

The history of humanity is a spectacular voyage into cultural diversity and social advancement, starting with the great Greek philosophy and the Roman Empire, through the Dark Ages, moving on to the Renaissance and then to the Enlightenment that has set reason once and for all as the firmament of mankind in its existential ideals. In over two thousand years of cultural and philosophical history, we have condensed all of our greatest victories, as well as our shortcomings. This is why many celebrated scholars from around the world have gathered at Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University, in Bucharest, Romania, for the 1st Edition of this World Congress. Between the plenary addresses and the panel discussions, touching on the immensely diverse topics such as history, philosophy, law, religion and science, our search for societal betterment through reason and faith will not remain unaddressed.
