The new processes of Portuguese migration to Brazil

This book brings us a collection of stories that represent, in a molecular way, the lives of thousands of Portuguese immigrants around the world. Here, the specificities of Brazil and Rio de Janeiro in particular are taken into account. It reveals the trajectories, plans, restructuring and surprises - illusions and disillusions - in the lives of each person who, for one reason or another, left their country in search of something more. Between the hope of independence and the longing for their safe haven, the Portuguese immigrant's life is divided between one country and another with a certain uncertainty. This choice, we know, is not easy. We just have to make sure it's the right one - whatever that means. Get on with it.
