The Paradigm of Science in Islam
Details
Islamic sciences which have been impressed by old times actually can still be actualized and developed according to the demands of the times, as long as those who develop Islamic sciences equip themselves with auxiliary sciences, and master complete research theories with their methodology, both theoretically and practically. Understanding the ideal Islamic religion needs to be done because a truly religious attitude must depart from the correct understanding of the religion. Knowledge in Islam is not only formulated and built through reason alone but also through revelation and vice versa. Intellect tries to work optimally to find and develop knowledge, While revelation comes to give guidance and guidance that must be passed through reason. So the knowledge in Islam has a complete source, especially when compared to Western science. When viewed from an epistemological perspective, one thing that distinguishes Islamic scholarship from other scholars is the recognition of the existence of revelations (Al-Qur`an and Al-Sunnah) as sources of truth.
