The paradox of agrofuels in capitalist reproduction

Based on a theoretical approach that explains capitalist development through center-periphery relations, as well as the discourses of different agents who participate in or reflect on the agroenergy sector, the objective of this work is to discuss the position and role currently played by peripheral countries in the face of demands for energy alternatives from developed countries.
