The Partnership between Umwalimu SACCO and Umurenge SACCO

Umwalimu SACCO is a Savings and Credit Cooperative for teachers in Rwanda mandated to empower the members towards uplifting their social-economic welfare. The main concern that lead to the establishment of the SACCO was the economic position of teachers that would not cater for their basic needs. The main contribution of this research is to assess if the partnership would contribute effectively in uplifting the welfare of Umwalimu SACCO members or not. Thus, the objectives of the research were achieved since there is a great effectiveness of the partnership between the two SACCOs towards improvement of welfare of the teachers in the district of Gasabo rural sector.
