Sepideh Taravati Mahjoubi empezó a estudiar el campo de las alfombras en 2009. En la Olimpiada de Reparación de Alfombras de Irán, celebrada en mayo de 2012, obtuvo el tercer puesto del país. Continuó estudiando su máster y su doctorado en el campo de la investigación artística. Ha publicado numerosos artículos y trabaja en el consejo editorial de la revista Honar Pajouh de la Universidad de Alzahra.
