The pi th of the option

In the face of the constitution of reality and the constitution of the existing self, there is a single problem that beats and lurks silently without showing itself at all, but which can be the key to understanding choice. Faced with what we call the choice, man experiences an inner commotion or shake, it can be called an affection of the conscience, of the spirit, of the soul, or even of the sentient intelligence. What is certain is that it would be from this affection-shock that the destinies of men can remain in the light or in the shadows of the real. I quote as I remember: "many philosophers have begun their philosophical journey with a shock, or their entire work, or their system, can be understood in the light of a very strong shock that marked their life", (Jorge Manzano, s.j.). This shock, or onslaught of the spirit, or of reality, would be what I call the "pi th of the option".
