The place of Arab-Islamic education

Arab-Islamic education has always been one of the concerns of a large part of the population since the penetration of Islam in Senegal. Indeed, it had imposed itself as the only alternative to ensure the religious, intellectual and cultural education of individuals within the society. This form of education with a strong spiritual dose was distinguished by its proven external efficiency in the past. This effectiveness was reflected in the role that emblematic figures played in radically and heroically changing the course of history in their respective communities. respective communities.It seems obvious to us that the issue of Arab-Islamic education is of paramount importance. Thus, a master's thesis would not be sufficient to explore all the aspects related to this issue in depth, due to the nature of the subject, but also to the complexity of the different points of view. This is why a more in-depth study that would take into account other aspects of the issue, such as the enrolment of talibé children in the formal system, is necessary in our view.
