The Poetic Stimuli

The book contains over forty poems that depict hope and peace. It is full of adventures and tales including themes relating to child trafficking, slavery, war, peace, strife, homelessness, myths, aesthetics and death. It looks at the past, present and the future and also talks about life, injustice, and the ills surrounding the child.The subjects of the work dwell on: Peace, Terrorism and War; Joy, Hope and Hopelessness/ Depression; Intrigue, Injustice and Oppression/ Freedom; Child Neglect, Death and Inhumanity; Landscape, Scene, Virtue and Beauty.

Mr. Augustine O. Nwaka, ESL Instructor and Lecturer, is an educator and poet who has poeticized vocally on the intersections of peace and war, injustice and oppression, including the issues of intrigues and child neglect. His poems have appeared in notable literary journals in the US and Canada, and in Nigeria and South Africa, respectively.
