This study aims to analyze some aspects of Romania economy regarding pensions and the reforms. Therefore, the first reform undertaken is the price reform and the liberalization price is quasi-complete during the first transition years. The economic and at the same time historical-paradigmatic appeal carried out in this chapter shows that there are several steps that an economy having gone through the central planning experiment. Also, are analyzed the situations from plan to market transition phase, functional (rudimentary) market economy phase, mature or sophisticated market economy phase. Moreover, the book includes parametric reform of the Romanian public pension system with necessity, execution and immediate effects.

Georgeta Modiga is Senior Lecturer PhD in Danubius University of Galati, lawyer and General Secretary of National House of Public Pension of Romania. As her interested area, it can be mentioned, Harbour Law, Transportation Law and European Social Law. Is member of National Institute of Research by Harbour Domain,researcher, member of CECCAR Galati.
