The concept of responsibility has emerged as one of the fundamental aspects in the contemporary international politics. This book offers a critical account on the notion of responsibility in international relations. The book aims to dissect fault lines in the conceptualisation of responsibility and the politics around it. This has been illustrated through taking various pressing issues into account. Specifically, the book challenges the concept of nuclear responsibility in the backdrop of the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal. The book also examines the impact of power politics on the conceptualisation of responsibility and how this is being practiced to secure the interests of powerful actors in international politics.

Ladhu R. Choudhary teaches at the Sri Aurobindo College (M), University of Delhi as an Assistant Professor (Ad-hoc). He is also a Doctoral Candidate at the Centre for International Politics, Organization and Disarmament, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. His areas of research include Indiäs foreign policy, and nuclear politics.
