The problem of cooperation and the savings based poverty trap model

Some economists and development agencies erroneously argue that simply handing out money to development countries is enough to launch a country into economic success. This book starts by reviewing one popular argument on which this claim is based, the savings based poverty trap model and its Neo- Classical origins. Subsequently it argues and explains why cooperation is essential for economic success and that the savings based poverty trap model should incorporate this insight. Finally a modest begin is made incorporating these insights into the savings based poverty trap model.
