In the wake of decolonization, colonialist narratives have systematically been rewritten from indigenous perspectives. This phenomenon is referred to as "the Empire writes back to the centre" a trend that asserted itself in late twentieth-century postcolonial criticism.
Autorentext
Nabil Baazizi holds a PhD in English from the University of Paris Sorbonne Nouvelle. He has published papers in which he traces the literary genealogies of colonial and postcolonial narratives. His main area of research is the strategies of decolonizing fictions in Africa, India, and the Caribbean.
