The Problems of Social Interest Housing in Brazil

Social housing or housing of social interest, or even social housing, whatever its denomination is a type of housing intended for the population whose income level makes it difficult or prevents access to housing. In addition to social factors, associated with the prejudice developed about this population, because in general, they are citizens with extremely low income, in some cases, allocated in unworthy housing or in peripheral areas of the city, such as in slums, for example. However, prioritising low cost, social housing insertions in Brazil are not always allocated and designed in the most efficient way. Thus, with the aim of finding the problem, as well as possible solutions to it, this book was written.
