The promotion of health by the wellness spa industry

It is only recently that the wellness spa industry has emerged to become a worldwide phenomenon. This paper is investigating the promotion of health by this flourishing industry. This study make use of three research questions. The first one intends to reveal the link between health and the wellness spa industry. Then, the author tries to demonstrate how the wellness spa industry can improve the quality of life of its public. Finally, the last one aims at discovering how the wellness spa industry is able to teach healthier lifestyles to its consumers. The author focused on expert interviews, which were used as the research method of this study. Two different questionnaires were developed in order to provide interesting outcomes for the two last research questions. First, the investigation revealed interesting outcomes about the improvement of quality of life through spa therapies. Moreover, the secondary research reported that the link between health and the wellness spa industry has been established for a long time. This link is becoming relevant nowadays due to the increase of scientific studies and evidence based proving the benefits of spa therapies.

Really interested and passionate about the world of healthy lifestyles, holistic retreats, yoga and the wellness spa industry, I have decided to write my master thesis about this topic. Today I can say that I am proud to publish my work which gave me an intense challenge to overcome through the last year of my master degree!
