The property dualism

In the philosophy of mind, the discussion about the existence of the mental and its relationship to matter dominates. The aim is to develop a theory that can explain why we have phenomenal experiences, such as the feeling of hunger, pain or being ourselves. Here, materialists, functionalists, behaviorists, eliminativists, monists and dualists come together. The aim is to present a plausible theory that represents the solution to the difficult problem of consciousness and thus convince all opponents. This work deals with the position of the Australian philosopher David Chalmers and his proposed solution, property dualism.

I was born in Karlsruhe in 1988, finished school in 2008 and moved to Constance in 2010 to start studying philosophy. As I have always been very interested in psychology, my focus was on the philosophy of mind. I have since completed my studies with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
