The book "The Public Sphere of Malabar Muslims: A Study on Gender" is addressing the transformation of a Malabar Muslims Public Sphere on the base of gender and masculinity, to what extent a genderised public sphere existed in Malabar and the nature and nurture of the transformation of the public sphere is traced out. The study exclusively focused on questioning the contradiction within the so called 'modernity' of particular regions and community.
