Commercial Law, that branch of Private Law that has historically regulated business activity and commercial traffic, is undergoing a process of adaptation and redefinition in Cuba, reflecting the recent transformations in the country's economic structure. Despite the centrality of the state sector, the progressive opening to the private sector and foreign investment have prompted the updating of a regulatory framework that seeks to respond to the dynamics of contemporary trade.
