The religious crisis in Nigeria: A problem of dialogue
Details
The cultural and religious crisis of Nigeria, the most populous African Nation, continues unabated. While it has managed to remain one country after three years of civil war( 1967-1970). However, it still finds it difficult to come to terms with itself as a country of different nationalities. Many studies of Nigerian problems has focused on the crisis as it affects the people of different cultural and religious backgrounds. They have yet to look at these problems as capable of helping the country to a great multi-cultural, and multi-religious environment when they are realistically confronted. In other words weakness can be turned to strength. The Author acknowledges that the search for a peaceful Nigeria requires an examination of the causes as a way of finding solution to the problems. This book recommends dialogue as the only possible solution to unity and peace among Nigerian citizens and nations in similar situations.
