This work aims to discuss current conditions of accessibility of sidewalks in the main commercial center of Dianópolis-TO in order to offer accessibility to people with disabilities or reduced mobility, as provided by Law 10.098 of December 19, 2000. Through the methodology adopted it was possible to identify the access conditions for a safe and comfortable locomotion, verify the existence of a Municipal Law for accessibility as a fundamental guarantee, according to the Federal Constitution of 1988, and describe the current stage of public policies for accessibility in the city, based on the perception of public agents and the citizen-user, ensuring to the whole society equality of opportunity.
