The role of Domestic Mechanisms in Post Conflict Reconstruction in Afr

This work provides important insights into the contradictions of post war development theories and strategies in Africa. Key arguments range from whether international policies and external intervention in post war countries help in economic recovery and ensures that there is no resurgence into war or whether it in fact plays a role in keeping the post war countries incapacitated poverty stricken, dependent and susceptible to future conflicts. This book is useful for any one interested in understanding Rwanda's post conflict rapid transformation. The book raises fundamental questions about the rehabilitation of the vanquished by the victor in the process of reconciliation for peace and development.

Joseph Munyangabo é Diretor Associado do Centro de Análise Política do Uganda e cofundador do Parliament Watch-Uganda. É consultor técnico sénior do Instituto Republicano Internacional (IRI-UG). É antigo aluno da Universidade Wits SA, onde obteve um mestrado em Relações Internacionais.
