Details

Reproductive health is a universal concern and central feature of human development. It is not only relevant to women of reproductive age but also has an impact upon the future generation. As most of the poor women in Bangladesh are uneducated or have little education, they are unaware and unconscious about reproductive health.Due to the influence of patriarchal social system, they have lack of information, limited access in social support system.Traditionally they derive subordinate social status in family. All the decisions including reproduction are made by men.Even they cannot express their choice for their marriage, having sex or having a child. This book, therefore provides an idea about the understanding level of married poor women regarding reproductive health care matters, current situation of RH of them, the perception of community people towards reproductive health care of women and its influence on the care services. This book also concentrates on the types of services available provided by the NGOs and their role in improving reproductive health care of married poor women in Bangladesh. This should help the future researchers to develop their ideas regarding Reproductive health.
