The Role of Social Support in Coping with Chronic Illness

Heart and Kidney diseases are the top most killing diseases in Pakistan.The spiral is going up to wrap a large number of young population. Other than treatment, there is a greater need to address the preventive measures to save human lives.This book is about how various types of social support i.e emotional, informational, material, and instrumental work out in different coping strategies i.e physical, psychological, and behavioral with heart and kidney disease patients. It also includes useful information about the dietary patterns. Root causes of both heart and kidney diseases are more or less the same. Therefore, an attempt is made to provide useful information for affected ones.
