The Role Of Strategic Planning In Organizational Crisis Management

Organizations are facing exciting and dynamic challenges in the 21st century, as the world has become a smaller geographic size because of the information; communication; technological development; and cognitive revolution, which could lead to crises consecutive face by these organizations and threaten the sustainability and the survival of organizations today can take a variety of forms, ranging from financial scandals; failures; epidemics and natural disasters; and now even the terrorist attacks. The companies cannot control these aspects but can respond to change if necessary, which to develop strategic plans. It became necessary to the perception of future conditions, plans, and the preparation of the necessary actions to address them. Strategic planning is the key to ensuring that our organization is ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow. In reality, strategic planning is a very necessary activity in life generally. Therefore, the activity of strategic planning is also about keeping in touch with the real world. Many organizations spend most of their time reacting to unexpected changes instead of anticipating and preparing for them. This is called crisis management.
