The Role of Subsistence Farming Cooperatives

The main purpose of this study was to explore the effectiveness of agricultural cooperatives in improving production, income (food and monetary) of farmers and explore implications for food security. The specific objectives of the study are: - To assess the role of an agricultural cooperative in providing food supply to a household - To determine the factors supporting the success of an agricultural cooperative - To establish why some people join cooperatives and other do not.
