The Role Of The Manufacturing Sector In Economic Growth Of Nigeria

The effect of the Manufacturing sector on Nigeria's economic growth has over the past decade been a recurring issue for analysis, as government in Nigeria have continued to articulate policy measures to achieve sustainable growth in the Manufacturing sector. The role of the Manufacturing sector has been widely studied and considered to be the ideal industry to drive a country's growth.This study addresses questions relating to the performance of the Nigerian Manufacturing sector, increases in the growth of the Nigeria Manufacturing sector, the extent to which the increase contributed to the growth of the economy as a whole, the bottlenecks that impede the Manufacturing sector, and policy measures that could be adopted to redress the persistent decline in the Manufacturing sector.
