The SADC and Regional Integration in Southern Africa: a Diagnosis

To every government being a member of a regional groups such SADC and other economic alliances are considered a platform for socio-political and economic growth as well as development. Notwithstanding the negative impacts of regional integration and economic cooperation, countries generally view alliances as positive steps to securing a country's future in terms of economic growth and regional cooperation which is believed to a universal remedy to improving social welfare and poverty eradication. Therefore, this work attempts to unravel the positive and the negative impact of SADC as regional alliance group on its member states.
