The Scottish usability community is an online
community developed for usability professionals in
Scotland in order to provide a space to share
knowledge and find support. A prototype was created
applying user-centred design methods. This
incorporates discussion streams and functionalities
identified by users needs research. Based on these
requirements a hi-fi prototype was established
applying several standard design methods prior a
final version was implemented. Finally the aspects:
usability, accessibility, sociability, satisfaction
and acceptance were evaluated.

Thomas Holzmann, geboren 1982 in Rumänien, absolvierte seinStudium der Wirtschaftsinformatik an den Fachhochschulen inUlm/Neu-Ulm sowie an der Napier University in Ediburgh/Schottlandwo er seine Abschlussarbeit verfasste. Diese wurde besonders durch diverse Tätigkeiten und Erfahrungen mit schottischen Usability Experten geprägt.
