The Solstices series (2013) by Ángel Hurtado

The Venezuelan artistic environment of the 20th century constituted by a manifest and constant incursion of the audiovisual media in the arts, starting in the 1960s approximately and photography as an expressive medium due to its reproducibility, documentary nature, ability to record concrete facts and substitutes in time, as well as a new perspective regarding the plastic arts, bringing with it communication theories attached even to structuralism, positivism, national and international plastic movements such as abstract expressionism, surrealism, informalism give shape to the plastic production of the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st, where popular art has also been a participant.

Liprepensadora venezolana nacida el 30 de marzo de 1983, estudió en la Universidad Central de Venezuela. Ha trabajado como profesora de inglés e italiano y es autora de varias obras, entre ellas Cosmogonía Azul, Haikus en la arena, Ángel Hurtado, la serie Solsticios y la traducción de El diezmo en dinero.
