The Sparkling East, the Hidden Treasure of Pleasure

Handling this book and turning over the pages, your eyes never grew weary or your brain numbed by monotonous repetition of idle speech, on the contrary you feel more fresh the more you jumped from page to page, for every page has its own lights, has its own guidance to safety in life and the hereafter. You feel a respectful guest at the premises of the writer who overflows your life with mellifluous speeches that leads you to a sunny velvet ground with birds chirping around, perching and making off. The speech that you are reading never puts you in an utter isolation or in heat-crazed thirst, so your happiness is designed for my delight and vice versa. That is offering these tutorial-like poems means that I pave the way to the readers, the way which leads them to settle tranquilly down at a station never heard of before, a station where never feel cold nor hot while reading through the poems of this book. The reader here, feels in a lushly green as a vineyard flourished with the opulence of the speeches never heard alike. So to avoid tantalization, possessing a copy is the shield through which you never search for your quest, but your quest would settle in your lap.

Jamil Yousef Al-Asmar est professeur de littérature anglaise à l'Université de Palestine - Gaza. Il a obtenu une licence et une maîtrise d'anglais à l'université de Punjab, au Pakistan, en 1980. En 1990, il a obtenu son doctorat à l'université du Pays de Galles, au Royaume-Uni. En 2009, il a été promu professeur associé à l'université Al-Azhar. En 2014, il a été promu professeur titulaire.
