The Status of English for Research Publication Purposes in Iraq

This textbook provides a concise, clear and accessible explanation for the most frequent problems of writing a research paper in English language by University professors and graduate students who are non-native of English language. Furthermore, the strategies that can be followed by researchers to overcome these problems are also mentioned in this book. The difficulties faced by researchers were divided into two parts; the linguistic issues and non-linguistic issues. Some problems were lie in the publication process in international journals.

Ahmed Abdulzahra is a University instructor at Islamic University, Iraq. He has a MA degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. He has many published research papers in national and international journals in the field of English Language Teaching. His research interests are in ELT, academic writing, discourse analysis and corpus analysis.
