Details

The appropriation of nature in spiritual-practical activities takes place at the level of mythology, religion, art and philosophy. In these forms of objectified consciousness, floral imagery is symbolised and its specificity emerges. Through the sensual imagery of flora, the abstract symbolism of the collective unconscious is expressed. In the case of man, the plant not only symbolizes his own essence, but also reflects internal forms of personal experience of relations with the world, which are essentially relations with the plant kingdom. The paper demonstrates the worldview function of flora symbols in the pre-philosophical explanation of the world, defines the meaning of the symbolic image of a plant, which distinguishes it from the animal image - the idea of eternal rebirth; reveals the controversial nature of plant symbols in the religious worldview; shows that the diversity of meanings of the symbolic images of flora meets basic needs to be, know, love, experience happiness.
