The Teaching of Jesus and Muhammad about one God

"In this age of ours, when men are drawing more closely together and the bonds of friendship between different peoples are being strengthened, the Church examines with great care the relation which she has to non-Christian regions. Ever aware of her duty to foster unity and charity among individuals, and even among nations, she reflects at the outset on what men have in common and what tends to promote fellowship among them." With this vital energy of the Second Vatican Council the Catholic Church urges all its members to enter with prudence and charity into discussion and collaboration with members of other religions. It is clear enough to note that we Christians and Muslims have some unanimity in belief, likewise some differences also, which is normal. If we are believers, we must confess that this is done by God/Allah Himself. As believers we must not fail to understand what God/Allah says through the Sura 5,48: "To each of you, we have laid down an ordinance and a clear path; and had Allah pleased, He would have made you one nation, but (He wanted) to test you concerning what He gave to you. Be, then, forward in good deeds...". It should be a competition to do "good deeds".
