The Transformations of the Civil Service in Poland in Comparison with International Experience

This book is the outcome of in-depth academic research on the civil service carried out by acknowledged international (B.G. Peters, Ch. Demmke) and national experts in the field. The goal is to summarise the studies on the transformations in the civil service systems in European and other countries, with a special focus on civil service in Poland.

Autorentext

Jolanta Itrich-Drabarek is Professor at the University of Warsaw and directs the Centre for Studies in Local Government and Development. She received her PhD in social sciences and was formerly employed in public administration. She is a member of the Civil Service Council, an advisory body to the Prime Minister. Stanis aw Mazur is Professor at the Cracow University of Economics and Dean of the Faculty of Public Economy and Administration. He was a member of the Civil Service Council (2009 2015) and cooperated with central offices, regional and local governments as well as international organizations (e.g. the World Bank). Justyna Wi niewska-Grzelak is a lecturer at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw. She is a EU Civil Service specialist, was formerly employed in public administration and is a member of the Polish Association of European Studies Board.
