Annika Sinner, born in Germany in 1995, is a writer and journalist. She first visited Glasgow in 2014 and has been closely connected to the city ever since. Its energy, warmth, and continual reinvention have long informed her work. For "The Tree That Never Grew", her debut novel, originally published in German, she conducted extensive research in Glasgow's museums and libraries and drew on family recollections to bring the city's history to life.
