The Ukraine Crisis

By signing the Minsk Protocol, Ukraine allowed Russia to frame the event. Expert and analyst, Ilmari Käihkö has noted that it was the Ukrainian government who forced these territories to accept the agreement, and strengthened Russian position to implement the agreement. The current turmoil in Ukraine has prompted military activism in EU, UK and the United States. The US and NATO have adopted hypocritical approach towards Russia-Ukraine confrontations by not entering into a crucial diplomatic dialogue to settle the dust. They have used Ukrainian conflict as guise to manufacture a large military presence in Europe and Asia, but never realised pain of the country's civilian population.On 24 February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine and recognised Donetsk and Luhansk as independent states. President Vladimir Putin declared a military operation with the goal of demilitarization of Ukraine.
