Thematic Teaching in a Barbadian Nursery School

This book is a study which was conducted at Cavehill Campus in Barbados at the University of the West Indies on teachers' knowledge and their use of thematic teaching at Amazing Grace Nursery School. It emphasizes the importance of thematic teaching as the most effective approach and strategy to utilize teaching and learning at the early childhood education level. It clearly indicates the integration of all subject areas and learning experiences under a theme or topic. Throughout the book, the teachers interviews, observations and document analysis authentically represents the reality and the uniqueness of the teaching and learning process in Early Childhood education in Barbados.
