Since the education universe is full of disparities; suitable Theories and Models have to be selected for each environment. For this knowledge of various Theories and Models of education management is essential. In the present context Participative management with a mix of Collegial model enmeshed with Formal model for education management has been tested. For quality development Barnett s (1992)Total Quality Care Model for Total Quality Management fitted into modified NBA criteria for quality assurance in conditions of Deming s 14 points have been practiced with Deming s Quality Cycle for the Higher Technical Education Institutions in remote rural areas in India. The results were amazing; a multi-pronged progress on all parameters was established when compared with neighbouring institutions. Study describes an impressive success story in the field of quality development in education management among disparities

Professor Dalvinder Singh Grewal is an education management expert. He has PhDs in English, Business Management (HR) and Computer Science. He held appointments as Advisor, Group Director, Principal, Professor and Registrar in Teaching for 12 years and taught for 24 years.
