Therapeutic Gaming
Details
The research presented in this book attempt to create a new step in the neuro-rehabilitation process of brain injured children through the use of interactive games. The goal is to allow the children to interact with the games, displayed on a big TV screen, through the use of objects whose movements are tracked in real time by a motion capture apparatus. Such a device offers very promising perspectives in terms of rehabilitation by allowing children to exercise more and progress faster while seeing the rehabilitation process as a game rather than just as rehabilitation. It also allows the therapists to save time and be more efficient.
