Theta Cygni is a white main sequence star, spectral class F3 V, forming a wide binary system with a dim red dwarf star, of spectral type M3. The primary component of binary is suspected to host an extrasolar planet. Weird radial velocity variations have been detected by ELODIE team for search of extrasolar planets. Desort et al. infer these variations are not due to perturbing dim stellar companion roughly 80 Astronomical Units away from the star, but suggesting the presence of a perturbing planetary object, twice more massive than Jupiter and revolving around the stars in less than half a year. The extrasolar planet is still to be confirmed.
