Thoughts In Poetry

Poetry is a type of literature based on the interplay of words and rhythm. In poetry, words are strung together to form sounds, images, and ideas that might be too complex or abstract to describe directly. In literary work, expression of feelings and ideas is given intensity by the use of distinctive choice of words, style and rhythm belonging to the genre of literature.A poem is a collection of spoken or written words that expresses ideas or emotions in a powerfully vivid and imaginative style. As a poet, and a lover of poetry, here are some collections of my poems over the years as University lecturer of English, the poems are mostly narrative as a linguist. In this collection, I explored various themes, as birth, life and death, love and hate, virtue, beauty, identity, religion, travels and journeys; celebration, disappointment and failure among others.- "For academic, for leisure and for the fun of it."
