Three Academic Databases with Arabic language content

The book provides a better understanding of the determinants of user acceptance of databases which will assist selectors in acquiring usable databases. In addition library instructors will learn areas that need emphasis and concentrate on them during Information Literacy sessions to ensure better use of these resources. A common theme underlying this research streams is the inclusion of the perceived characteristics of an innovation as key independent variables. Furthermore, prior research has utilized different outcomes to represent user acceptance behavior. However, these works have not adequately addressed the issue of Arabic language databases or has studied Arabic language speakers.

Samir Alawad Babiker is a reference technician, Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Library and Information science from the University of Khartoum in Sudan.Samir has presented and published several studies on the national, regional and international conferences.
