Time Delayed Phased Array Antenna System and Its Application

Motivation to write this book was to establish the time-delay based solutions for phased array antenna system replacing the phase-shifters which inherently limit its wideband capability. The objective of this book is to design a novel time-delay based programmable switching network as the basic building block for a phased array system. Throughout this book, a programmable switching network is essentially modified for numerous radar applications and their signal processing like monopulse target-tracking, scanning, clutter cancellation, calibration, beam shaping, etc. Concepts developed in this book prospect the development of recent wireless beamforming networks.

Quazi Mohmmad Alfred received Ph.D. from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and currently Associate Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Aliah University, Kolkata. He has authored a good number of research articles in national and international journals and conferences and also holds a patent in his name.
