TIME MANAGEMENT FOR QUALITY SERVICE DELIVERY

This study investigated time management for quality service delivery in universities in South-East, Nigeria. Based on the objectives, five research questions and five hypotheses guided the study. This study anchored on the theories of goal setting/task performance by Lockes and Lathams in (1990), pickle jar theory which is the latest theory of time management developed by Jeremy Wright in (2002), and theory of time for quality instruction propounded by Carroll in (1963). The design used in this study was descriptive survey design. The population of this study comprised all the federal and state universities in South-East, Nigeria with 7,935 administrators (Dean of faculties, Head of Departments and Directors of institutes) and academic staff from which a sample size of 1800 administrative and academic staff of the universities was randomly drawn from three federal and two state universities using stratified random sampling technique. The instrument that was used for this study is questionnaire titled "Time Management Questionnaire (TMQ)" which was designed and developed by the researcher.
