Tissue Expanders

Tissue expansion is a natural phenomenon. Skin, mucosa, muscles progressively expand over underlying hematoma or a slow growing tumor. It improves the quality and quantity of soft tissue and facilitates primary wound closure & reduces the incidence of wound dehiscence and exposure of bone grafts. Alternative for the reconstruction by providing donor tissue of the same colour and texture, similar thickness and sensation, with minimal scar formation and minor donor site morbidity.Tissue expansion has certainly earned the status of being an indispensable adjunct for reconstructive procedures in maxillofacial surgeries.
