To be a trauma therapist
Details
This book is a must for therapists and clinicians working in the area of trauma. Being mindful of the effect of which trauma work has on the self is as important as the clinical work of caring and accurate empathy. The process of listening to trauma narratives can result in old wounds being re-opened. This may occur at a conscious or unconscious level. Self-awareness through reflection and 'good-enough' supervision are essential components of developing this awareness.
