High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Token was a Formula One constructor from the United Kingdom. They participated in four Grands Prix, entering a total of four cars. The Token was intended to be the car with which Rondel Racing, the successful Formula Two team founded by Ron Dennis and Neil Trundle, would graduate to F1 racing. In 1973 Rondel had been running a team of its own F2 cars named after its sponsor, the French oil company Motul. The F1 car was designed by Ray Jessop and was set to make its debut in 1974. During the energy crisis they lost their Motul sponsorship and abandoned plans to move up. The completion of the car was funded by Tony Vlassopoulo and Ken Grob (Motul resurfaced as a sponsor of BRM in 1974).
