This work presents an investigation of Hebrew Biblepassages containing the heavenly sanctuary/templemotif in order to achieve a threefold purpose: (1)to ascertain the function of the heavenlyanctuary/temple; (2) to determine the relationshipof the heavenly sanctuary/temple with its earthlycounterpart,and (3) to provide a comprehensivepicture of the heavenly anctuary/temple motif in theHebrew Bible.
