Towards a better understanding and control of HIV in Bangladesh

In this book the author critically analyzes HIV situation and transmission dynamics in Bangladesh.It is the outcome of an extensive literature review and the authors passion to combat this deadly global health crisis having social, health, economic and humanitarian dimensions. In this book, the author upholds the structural, social and individual determinants of HIV transmission in Bangladesh, the densest populated developing country of South-East Asia. 'HIV could kill human beings, but we should not allow HIV to kill humanity'- is the key motivation of the author for researching the topic that also appeals to all readers of the book to make equal space for HIV affected people in all spheres of the society.

Dr. Ashim Roy (MBBS - Dhaka; MPH - Amsterdam; MSc - Edinburgh) has been working with various health organizations in Bangladesh as an expert Family Physician, community healthcare manager, director of two missionary hospitals, and an academician since 1995.
