Traditional Indian Textile

Dr. Meenakshi Gupta has done a yeoman service to bring the Book "Traditional Indian Textile" with information which is very relevant and necessary for the preservation, revival and study of the best of the textiles and costumes to provide a guide to good craftsmanship. These designs embody the synthesis, over time, of indigenous talents, the new cultural impacts, and the imagery of sign and symbol. This book will facilitate Student of Textiles, Fashion designer and craftsmen to create crafts and designs and ornamental motifs which are truly characteristic of India, and will become the inspiration for future generations.

Dr. Meenakshi Gupta is an Associate Professor of Banasthali Vidhayapeeth. She obtained fellowship under British Council Rajasthan/Wales Exchanges Program in 1997 and also visited Cardiff, wales U. K.
